We liked the neutral color of this cat post as it will suit most home decors although over time it is going to show dirt and grime. And the base and hammock are made from soft carpet-like fabric, which, while soft and comfortable, can fluff a little too much and has the potential to get caught in your cat’s fur and claws. However, the inner tube of the posts seems pretty durable and are made from chipboard which also provides some much-needed stability. That said, we think this AmazonBasics scratching post is better suited to kittens and smaller cats as it could be prone to tipping if a sizeable or heavy cat were to leap up into the hammock.

But this is a well-priced scratching post system and although you do need to do some self-assembly it is not complicated at all and is also an easy design to move around.
