How to Book a Flight With a Dog

If you're traveling and must take your dog with you on a plane, book a flight that will make it easier on your dog whenever possible. Not sure how? Read these pointers for booking a flight that will be less stressful on your pooch.

Book a direct, non-stop flight with your pooch rather than one with connections. It's faster, simpler and easier on your traveling dog.

Avoid travel during the busiest holiday periods and weekends. Lines will be longer and travel delays more frequent, making a trip more stressful on you and your dog.

Book your flight when temperatures are milder. Avoiding the coldest days of winter and the hottest days of summer is a good idea when flying with your dog. Also, morning flights and evening flights are much cooler for your dog.
