Walking Together

Walking your dog is one of the easiest and best ways for both of you to get exercise and have fun. But it's not fun if your dog does not behave well on a leash. Teaching your dog some basic leash manners can make the experience more pleasant - as well as safer -for you, your dog, and those around you.

If this is your first dog, you may need some lessons too! Consider a basic training course to get you off on the right foot (and paw). Learn what kinds of leads are available, and determine which one will best suit your needs.

This is especially important if you are starting off with a puppy. Keep in mind that just like babies, puppies grow - and some grow to be quite large. That cute little golden lab may be easy to handle on a leash at three months, but without proper training, that grown-up dog may be leading you around!
