Dogs That Shed Very Little

If you love dogs, but you can't stand to have the constant mess of fur littering your floor, it's definitely worthwhile to take a look at some of the dogs that shed very little. Here is a list of dogs that may keep your floors and furniture a little bit cleaner:

Poodles: They may require a professional groomer, but these dogs' coats do not exhibit any shedding. Keep in mind that regular brushing is required, however, lest you want to drop a poodle off at the groomer every several weeks with a matted coat.

Doberman Pinscher: This loyal and energetic dog has a short coat that sheds very little. A quick brushing on a daily basis will suit this breed fine.

Greyhound: Elegant in appearance, this breed of dog requires minimal grooming and sheds very little. Use a bristle brush and a hound glove to remove dead hair and stimulate new coat growth.

Irish Wolfhound - This giant breed among dogs has minimal grooming needs and sheds very little fur at all. Brush this breed once a week with a slicker brush.

Shih Tzu - This adorable toy breed does need a professional groomer for maintenance and upkeep, but on the flip side, shedding fur is very minimal. Use a pin brush on a regular basis for this breed.

I've enjoyed the company of many a Yorkshire terrior, and, though they do require grooming daily (brushing out tangles), they do not shed. Their hair is very much like ours.
