Our house cat was "lost" outside for 9 weeks. when we got her back we took her to the vet and the kept her and ran every test available. We picked her up and she seemed ok. very thin and very hungry. We have been back and forth to the vets for over a month now and the bills have been staggering. I think she is constipated again and cannot afford to take her back again for fluids and laxatives and enemas. Anyone know what to do to "unblock" her naturally at home??

To make sales, and get new animals in. Some srteos, if they don't get adopted or bought, they put them to sleep, sad story. People normally like young cute pets. Was this answer helpful?

Both my dogs are Chihuahuas, though from different litters. My small Pablo, 4 years, is six pounds and my Chilli the youngest at 3 years, is 11 pounds. Chilli is a larger boned dog, not excessively overweight but is on a weight loss diet as he has some fat around his chest. We daily walk both but this last week the heat has been pretty high. Last week Chilli had the diarrhea .. and did not eat or drink for 24 hours. We started with a mild gruel/water and he took that and progressed well. Very tired. I am thinking this was heat prostration. The next week the same occured with little Pablo though he used the backyard for his loose bowls [did not want to stay inside to do his business! lol]. Anyway he was weak and tired and would not eat or drink at all for just over 24 hours. Then again with a sort of weak gruel made with chicken Rollover product that they are both used to, he took that fluid and the next day started back on his R.Cannine kibble with good effect. But could this too have been heat prostration? Pablo will lie in the hot sunshine for all day if I let him; I pick him up and it is like he has no bones, just a soft, mushy tiny lump! I would have to say weakness. Consequently I will not let him lay in the sun like that again.

Our dog smells like vomit-we are thinking she has esopheageal reflux. Vet said it was from lake swims, but we give her a bath and she will smell the next day. It seems to be coming from her fur -not around her mouth-brushing teeth does not help.so...??
