Kitten Litter Box Training

Kittens don't actually need litter box training--they're genetically programmed to use one--but you do need to make sure they don't develop any bad habits later on. Having a litter box that is convenient and clean is vital in making sure your kitten has good litter box habits. This becomes even more important in households with two or more cats. Watch the video for tips on how to prevent future accidents and keep your kitten using their litter box throughout his or her life.

I adopted a feral kitten (actually he adopted me) and he had not used a litter box before. He used my large potted plants, or went next to them and scooped dirt onto his "business". I removed the plants he had used and placed litter boxes in their place with a thin layer of potting soil on top of the litter. He adapted in no time at all and my plants are now safe!
