The Siamese cat breed may be one of the most known and recognized cat breeds in the world. In fact, there are Siamese roots in many other popular cat breeds, including the Ocicat, Burmese, Snowshoe, and many others. The physical characteristics of Siamese cats make them easily recognizable:
- Siamese cats have small, sleek heads, large ears, and narrow bodies and tails.
- They have blue eyes and "points" of color on ears, feet, muzzle, and tail.
- Siamese males can reach 15 pounds, while females are usually 8 to 12 pounds.
- Siamese cats are extremely agile and lean, and enjoy a high amount of activity.
Siamese cats are known for their vocal yowls and incessant talking. They crave human attention and interaction. Siamese cats don't like to be alone, so if you are prone to travel or long days at the office, consider getting two Siamese so they can keep each other company.
