Taking Care Of Your Cat's Eyes
Cats eyes need routine care, too. The “sleepy-wax”-like secretions that form in the corner of their eyes should be gently cleared away both for appearance’s sake and to prevent irritation.

Use a damp cotton ball to clean around the cat's eye. Take extra care not to touch the eyeball. If you spot signs of eye problems, contact your vet immediately.

The most common signs of an eye infection are:

Redness, evidence of pain, and Once the eyes are clear, you'll need to apply eye drops or ointment. Hold your cat’s head to one side and open the eyelid with one hand while the other applies the medication. Rest lightly on the cat’s head to steady the hand and ensure gentle and accurate administration.
