Mom, actress and frequent activist, Heigl makes our 2012 list for her part in hosting the PBS premiere of “Shelter Me,” a film illustrating how people’s lives are impacted in a positive way when they adopt a shelter dog. Together with Ellen DeGeneres (who makes our list all on her own in just a few slides), Heigl would like everyone to understand that there are wonderful dogs just waiting to be adopted in our local shelters.
