You can take St. Simons Island off as a dog friendly beach. Dogs only allowed before 9am and after 6pm... all year. Used to be allowed more before Memorial Day.

St.Simons Island, Georgia, has a wonderful dog beach. There's a section where dogs can actually run free so long as they're under voice command. My 3 dogs really enjoyed that beach when we lived on St. Simons.

Shawnee Mission Park, in Lenexa, KS (Kansas City suburb) has a great dog park....unlike many dog parks I've seen, this one is a full and open nature trail, with woods to explore, several paths to choose from and a very nice dog beach at the end of the path. I've not found another like it, and miss it terribly since moving to Annapolis. I haven't yet checked out the dog beach at Quiet Waters, since it's been closed for the winter, but the dog park is nothing more than a fenced in box....nothing at all like the nice trails we had in Kansas. Also in KS, the dog beach was open year round.

Please be aware if you have a small dog..He died this afternoon. He was a pom/pap mix and only weighed 8 lbs..If anyone has info on the attack (the owner took off) please contact audrey @ 708 3235603. i owe a huge 6k bill and had to go home empty handed..
