Go puppies! Check out this pet's life-saving tale.
It was a normal day at the Camp household in Hackelburg, Ala. Until Kyle, a 10-year-old with Down syndrome went missing late in the afternoon. Rescuers were called to the very rural, wooded, secluded area and many volunteers showed up to help find the lost boy. Eighteen hours passed when Jamie Swinney, a local volunteer on the search party went on a hunch and followed the family’s dog, whose litter of puppies was also missing.
Kyle was located near a creek bed with the puppies at his side. Those puppies kept him company, they kept him warm and comfortable,” Jamie Swinney of Hackelburg, Ala., told NBC News. “We don’t know what would have happened to him had the puppies not been with him. And credit goes to the mother dog for leading me to the boy.”
