For many breeds, the practice of cutting their hair back a a way to keep them cool is a mistake that can have tragic consequences. In fact, some of these breeds need their fur to insulate them from the heat, and cutting it off removes that insulation and increases the liklihood that the heat will hurt or even kill them. Before cutting their hair back into some "Stylish" fashion, consult a veterinarian first - and not a groomer.

I agree! Style has NO PLACE in feline life! Health & safety are top priorities! Get a human stylish haircut yourself & leave your cat alone! Just brush the fluffy and comb him/her & brush his/her teeth. See a good vet on schedule. Massage your cat lightly to bond & to check for pain!

My Pom has a cut like Diamond, but I did his and left all of his tail and more ruff. I raised show Persian and Himalayan cats for years and every spring, all my breeding cats were given lion clips both for their comfort and for safety for breeding and birthing. Less fur, less germs to deal with.
