While it’s easy to decide that a dog is intelligent based on its ability to learn, understand, and act on commands, these animals can show their smarts in a variety of other ways. Whether they are street-smart or book-smart, though, these dogs are always at the top of the canine class when it comes to judging the smartest dog breeds. Weimaraners are known as the dog with a human brain. They are not always the most obedient because once they've mastered something, they don't see the point in doing it over and over again...easily bored. They have a mind of their own...a human-like one. Most of these breeds on this list can't even come close.

I have a pure breed Border Collie "LULU" and she is very smart. She likes everyone and I never worry about her hurting anyone or kids. Everyone loves her.

I have a part mini-dachsand and chiwowa and she is so incredibly smart. She can feel what we feel and knows so much. My nephew took his life in a room at my moms house and everytime she goes in there she wines and cries and leaves the room. I swear she feels something bad happened in that room. She is extremely intuitive!!! We love her so much! Yes to the other person that wrote about caveliers . My son and his wife have one and she is so intelligent, love able and faithful too. Her and my dog just love to see eachother!

doxi/chi's are the smartest and sweetest most loyal. I hd a wonderful one and she passed away from old age. Im looking for another one but cannot afford to buy one now so trying to find one older (Im older now too) sure do miss her, anolder one would be perfect for me. I cant believe how much they cost so Im doing without a best friend
