I have a russian blue.. she's quite a character!! She's very good with kids (for the person who asked) and people in general. She loves being right in on all the action (she loves to stay close to us). She's not much of a cuddler but is extremely playful. I discovered she loves knocking down my pens (among other items) so I started throwing my hair elastics for her to play with and ever since then it's become our little game :) It's so adorable the way she'll chase after it and then actually pick it up with her mouth and bring it back to me! I'm not sure if this is a personality trait of russian blues in general or if it's unique to her but I thought I'd describe what she's like to give some insight. Oh, and I adopted her .. so for those looking for a russian blue as a pet please please check out your local adoption centre!! :)

Russian Blues do well with people and children. They're inquisitive and love being in the action. But, when you have a large gathering for the holidays, you should always provide any cat with a quiet place to escape to if the action becomes too overwhelming. Every cat is different. AND when alot of people are going in and out, it's a good idea, especially if you have an indoors-only cat, to provide a place where the cat can be safe from accidental outings.
