The Westminster Dog Show is coming up on February 11-12 and many dog lovers from around the world will be glued to our television to see our favorite breed competing for Best in Show.

If you’ve always dreamed of owning a purebred dog, but think you could not get one because of the cost or because you believe in the motto, “Adopt, don’t Shop,” think again.

There are two ways you can adopt a purebred, either by choosing one of the estimated 30 percent of purebreds in shelters, or through a breed specific rescue near you.
