Yep, we have ten dogs, all abandoned,of just about every kind and size, and one who is black-and-white we had identified as a "Kleiner Muensterlaender," another European dog that is rare and valuable, but the first picture of the black and white is remarkably like ours. As for his personality, he is the Big Boy, and loves to please. He fetches the morning newspaper every day, and then says, "Where's my reward? Get it now!"
My little dog, cardigan corgie and Jack Russel mix, looks remarkably similar to your brindle type photos. I wish you could see the look on our faces when these photos started loading..wow

One of our Tracking club members has a Mudi. Do not be fooled by the cute pictures. These are high drive dogs that are very independent. They were breed to live on a farm and herd for hours everyday without much human interaction. After almost two years her dog just started to listen to the humans in his life. The owners are master dog trainers. Look long and hard before you leap on this one...
I have a blue healer mix and she does not listen to anyone. Herding dogs are very active, wary of strangers and highly devoted to their people. My Annie took years to train and to this day she still tries to be the alpha female.
The Mudi hails from Hungary, where it shares roots its fellow Hungarian herding dogs the Puli and the Komondor. The Mudi, like many Hungarian herding dogs, almost became extinct during World War II. During the war, the breed suffered terrible losses, and it wasn't until the 1960s and 1970s that the breed started to be rehabilitated.
