#7 St. Patrick's Day

If you really have the "luck of the Irish" on St.Patty's, you and your pet will stay safe!

This Irish holiday is known for its excessive drinking, so please remember that alcoholic beverages can be fatal for dogs and cats.

Also, if you are attending a parade for the celebration, beware of large crowds and parade safety. Many pets can be spooked when surrounded by many strangers or very loud noises.

Lastly, many owners love to dye their pooches and kitties green on this festive day. However, many dyes (food-coloring, Kool-Aid, human hair dye, etc.) can be harmful on an animal's skin. Try skipping the fur dye-job completely and just wear a green shirt yourself.
