Especially beware of Easter grass, which is like tinsel and cannot be digested, leading to the threads getting stuck around pets' intestines. Another plant to be cautious of? Lilies. Many types can cause kidney failure for cats.

Finally, Easter is a time when many baby chicks, ducks and bunnies are put out for show. Many cats and dogs go into hunting mode and may try to attack. Keep your pet on a short leash or keep the other Easter animals out of reach.
