#3 Fourth of July

This patriotic, summertime celebration brings family, friends and a nation together, but Independence Day can often be a dangerous for our pets.

Fireworks can not only badly scare some dogs and cats, but also injure them if the firecracker is handled carelessly. Even candles (such as citronella candles, insect coils and oil products) can become hazardous if inhaled causing aspiration pneumonia, stomach irritation, or central nervous system depression.

Additionally, July Fourth is a big day for heavy traffic, so be careful of letting your pup or kitten wander around the streets.
