Most Dangerous Holidays for Pets

#2 Halloween

Unfortunately, Halloween is a holiday when many pets can harm themselves and be harmed by others. If candy (especially beware of chocolate!), pumpkin or decorative corn is eaten, it can make pets very sick.

Be sure if you dress up your cat or dog that the ensemble is not only cute, but also comfortable, so your pet isn't injured or in pain.

Finally, be aware of others throughout late October. Not only can strangers' trick-or-treating at the door stressful for pets, but many pets (especially black cats) can be used as a source of harmful pranks. Sadly, this is such a common occurrence that many adoption centers don't allow adoptions of black kittens around the time of Halloween.
