The Beagle is part of a noble hound history dating back to the ancient Greeks. The Beagle breed of hounds, however, became popular in the days of King Arthur and by the time Queen Elizabeth I ascended to the throne in the 1500s, many nobleman had their own packs of Beagles for hunting.
Beagles, like the most famous of their breed, Snoopy, are fun, lovable and curious. They are great with people and need plenty of exercise.
