A look at the opulent new doggie program at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Scottish Terrier, Fala, was legendary, traveling almost everywhere with him and even having a place in high level staff meetings. After the president died on April 12, 1945, Fala reportedly sat and waited for his master every night for the rest of his life.
Amada Anderson, assistant at Ghosts of New York, says Fala’s ghost has been seen in Washington Square Park, where he would roam with Eleanor when she lived at 29 Washington Square West in the 1940s.
Fala has also been seen near tracks 112 & 113 at Grand Central Station, near where FDR reportedly had a secret elevator take him to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel when he visited New York. The elevator door is welded shut now, but Fala doesn’t seem to care.
