Learning the Dog Breed Groups Featured at Westminster

The American Kennel Club uses seven distinct breed Groups to classify dog breeds with similar characteristics. Breed groupings are often based on the ancestral types of modern dogs, and are rooted in the dog's original function or a predominant trait they all share. (Believe it or not, some of these pups were valued for more than their cuddling capabilities!) In preparation for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, learn about these varying breed Groups, and take a little time to find out which Group your dog belongs to!
