Dalmatian Puppy

Dalmatian puppies are born white and develop their spots by the time they turn six weeks old.

Dalmatian puppy spots, which can be black or liver-colored, can be about the tiny size of a dime all the way up to the size of a half-dollar.

Dalmatians are an ancient breed, developed over the centuries by nomadic tribes wandering throughout Europe. The dogs were given the name Dalmatian after an area in the former Yugoslavia called Dalmatia.

My Dalmatian died 2 months ago. I had always heard that they are always hard to keep and raise, but this did not prove to be the case with Lucy. Now...she was sneaky and she had some annoying habits. Shedding was a problem I did not expect either. However, all these traits were tolerable because she had a very sweet disposition, never growled or showed agression to anyone in our home, including small toddlers and infants. I never owned a more loyal dog.
