Take a small amount of batting and fill the toe of the sock to create the head.
Next sew the neckline of the squirrel, being careful to leave a pinch of extra fabric at either side of the head. Stitch the fabric pinches in soft little folds to create the adorable ears.
As you see the head take shape, embroider the eyes and a little nose.
Leaving a little bit of loose thread when you tie off the knots for the eyes gives a lovely long lashed effect.
