A Tail's Tale

Even though cats always use their tails to help them balance, the tail of the Maine Coon works double duty and helps to keep him warm in the winter weather! The Maine Coon will cover up his nose and face when curled up in the snow.

Beautiful, love this breed. Lost mine 4 months ago. Like to find another one. All of my mail cats seen to walk away. Why?

He. :) And he is very affectionate too. Always wait for me at the door.

For me, a cat lover and owner of 5 indoor and 3 feral (outdoor), cats, I would like to say that not only have I been looking into purchasing a Main Coon--over the Ragdoll, which I was thinking about, but the needy issue changed my mind about them. But if you like a large cat, like I do, read up on the Main Coon. I have and it's the breed for me. And this picture of one, only adds to my excitement for the breed. He or She is simply a beauty!

I have both a Ragdoll and a Maine Coon. I find the Ragdoll anything but needy. She is very aloof and completely independant except for her daily feeding. I find Suki very intelligent and inquisitive. My Coon is an adorable 20 pounds of cat masculinity. Hes super smart, cuddly and his whole world evolves around eating. I swear he would jump thru burning hoops for food - if only I had taught him that trick when he was little. Samuel (hes blue) is already 12 and slowing down, and certainly is very present in our daily lives.
