The Legend
A photo of a Birman Cat
According to legend, mystical cats guarded the temples in the heart of Asia and were very loyal to the priests. One day a temple to a golden goddess with sapphire-blue eyes was attacked and the priest murdered. One of the temple cats placed his feet upon the priest's body and faced the golden goddess. As he gazed upon her, his eyes turned sapphire-blue and the the hair of his face and legs darkened but where his paws rested, they remained white.

Hello, I have had Himalayans over the last 30 years. CAT free at this time and I am looking for a Birman Kitten, female. If anyone can help me with some information, please email me at dwcrowson@aol.com I would appreciate it very much. Thanks, David
I have owned Birmans for 30 years and recently lost my last two. I would love to offer a beautiful, cat loving home to an adult in Naples Florida.
Birmans are the best. I had my beautiful seal point Birman, Bartholomew, for 18 years. He was such a gentleman, gorgeous, loving and funny; every day with him was a day to treasure. He is greatly missed by me and his 12 year old companion, Hannibal.
Thank you for the great photo spread and notes about this wonderful breed. Birmans are beautiful and loving furbabies. Just ask my two and they will tell you!
These cats are gorgeous !!! I would love to have one myself.
