Dock diving, a sport that first appeared in 1997 and was officially established in 2000, is a sport similar to long jump. Dogs start from a take-off point (a dock) outside of water and then jump in. In competition, like the one at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, the dog to jump the furthest wins.
