The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, Denver, CO

Denver society women, Louise Crawford Hill occupied the Room 904 of the pet friendly Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in the 1930s when the top two floors were converted to apartments.

Legend has it that Hill will still sometimes call the front desk from that room. One of the most terrifying calls for staff was when the ghost tour director was telling visitors about Hill’s scandalous affair. At that moment, a call came in to the front desk from Room 904. The floor was being renovated at the time and there was no wiring to make a physical call possible from that room!

If you’re walking through the hotel and a fireplace pops on by itself, or a train conductor in early 20th century garb tips his hat to you, don’t pay no mind, it’s just the hotels other spirits at work.
