We spent our entire year reading and writing stories about hundreds of humans doing thoughtful, generous, creative and downright crazy things for the betterment of pets. These are just a few who stuck out to us.
We based our rankings on the individuals' commitment to the welfare of pets, their ability to inspire others to action, and the impact they had on the public profile of pets in need.
