When word got out about Phyllis Popp's passion for making and donating pet beds to local animal shelters (more than 2,000 so far!) other women around the country started contacting her wanting to do the same.
Popp gladly shared her "recipe" for creating the pillow styled beds (and you can find it at laboroflovepetbeds.com).
Now more than a dozen people -- including a woman in Canada -- are busy sewing and hand stuffing fleece beds this year in their spare time for needy cats and dogs. "Although I can't adopt every homeless animal out there, by keeping them comfortable and warm I can do my part to love them all," she says.
