23. Richie Schwartz

It's no secret: great pictures of homeless animals often increase the odds of them finding a forever home.

That's why Richie Schwartz of Pets Photography Studio began offering his service for free to animal shelters and rescue groups in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The images are then posted on adoption websites. "I believe in giving back to the community," says Schwartz, a photographer for 30 years. "And this is something I can do that isn't already being done by many others."
