Don't worry, we've got you covered. We based our rankings on the individual's impact on the welfare of pets this year, their capacity to raise the public profile of pets in need, and finally their ability to inspire others to action.

Check out what some of these famous -- and not so famous-- people are doing to help animals here and around the world.

I don't care if he donated all of his money and gave up his career. Michael Vick shouldn't haven even be thought of to be put on this list!

I feel physically ill. This is in poor taste and a slap in the face to anyone who advocates for kindness to animals (the exception being this animal, Michael Vick). I will never visit this site again.

I cant understand why you would put him in this list. Even if it was the top 25,000,000 pet people he shouldnt be in it. I'll still read your stuff but you better fix this!

There is nothing left to say on this subject. Everyone above has said it all in better words than I could have mustered. Petside ... I think you should SERIOUSLY rethink your stand here. I will not be associated with an organization that condones Michael Vick in any way, shape or form. I am so angry at football fans that I could throw up. If they would boycott games that include Vick, he'd be history. I know I'll not watch them. Until someone lets me know you have re-thought your position about Vick ... until I know that heinous human will not be glorified by this organization, I'm out of here.

What? What manner of nonsense is this?! I'm so nauseated I almost threw up over my monitor. How can this sick excuse of a human being even be mentioned in the same sentence as the term pet person? First time I'm visiting your site and also the last time. Good riddance to bad rubbish. And just for your information, abusing defenseless animals usually points to severe problems in a person's psyche. No one in that state can be rehabilitated. Most often they go on to abuse other defenseless members of society like children and senior citizens.
