Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania
Lovingly referred to as the “The Grand Lady of the Mountains” and a National Registry of Historic Places property, The Inn at Pocono Manor opened in 1902 as a country retreat for Philadelphia Quakers. Today it is the oldest continuously running Resort in the Poconos and one of the oldest in North America.
Pet policy:The Inn allows up to two pets per room and adds a $50 non- refundable pet fee per room to the nightly rate for guests traveling with pets.
Pet perks: VIPs (as in Very Important Pooches) receive a complimentary Doggie Welcome Gift that includes food and water bowls, clean-up bags, a healthy treat, and a doggie toy. There are also designated doggie walk areas with trash receptacles and bags throughout the property.
Points of interest: Rachel Ann’s Pet Spa and Boutique is three miles away should your pet need some deluxe pampering. In case of an emergency, the Pocono Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center is in close proximity to the resort and offers 24-hour emergency vet service.

6. Naples Bay Resort

Offering spectacular bay vistas from its prime waterfront location, the Naples Bay Resort is an ideal family destination. In addition to six on-site swimming pools and access to championship golf, the sugar-sand beaches of Naples are just a short shuttle ride away. [1]
Pet policy: Up to two pets weighing 40 pounds or less are allowed per room. There is a $100 refundable deposit, and a mandatory waiver must be signed at check-in.
Pet perks: Traveling pets receive a pet bed, bowls, and a welcome amenity with Wagatha’s organic treats, a pet bandana, plastic bags, and a list of nearby pet- friendly places. Pet grooming and walking services are also available for an extra charge.
Points of interest: When your pooch needs space to chase a ball, take your friend to Rover Run Dog Park in Veterans Community Park in North Naples, There are separate areas for both large and small dogs to make sure everyone is safe and happy. On Marco Island, dogs have more than an acre to run in Canine Cove Dog Park, an off-leash canine park inside the Frank E. Mackle Community Park. If you desire more natural surroundings, head to the CREW Marsh Trails, where dogs are welcome on more than 10 miles of nature trails that wind through fields of wildflowers, oak hammocks, marshes and pine flatwoods.
