Top 10 Dog Beaches
#1 Cape San Blas (Port St. Joe, Florida)
Many beaches across the nation have restrictions on when and where pets can play, but Cape San Blas beach throws out the old rulebook. Owners can bring their pups year-round, anytime of day and run with them along the entire beach. Want food? There are tons of pet-friendly restaurants in the area. Want adventure? There is also a pet-friendly sailing program where you can bring your dog on your very own ocean trip. With freedom, food and fun, Cape San Blas is the total package! Cape San Blas Website

Does anybody know if Atlantic City is Dog friendly? I live about 2 hours away and would love to take Dale, my black lab.

Again, the Great Lakes are nearly ignored. Michigan is surrounded by uncrowded beaches that are very dog friendly.

Cape San Blas isn't crowded and you can walk for miles and never see anybody. We drive from our home in Panama City Beach,Fl. to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico and to enjoy our 4 legged child.

Christine: about 10 miles south of Atlantic City is stretch of sand called Dog Beach, a great spot for dogs on the Jersey Shore. It's in Egg Harbor Township, right next to Longport, I believe.

My husband and I have gone to Cape San Blas, Indian Pass and Alligator Point Florida for years because they are all wonderful dog beaches and they are very uncrowded and beautiful. Eat at Indian Pass Raw Bar...it is wonderful!

What about Saint Augustine Florida? This is a huge dog friendly beach and community that should be somewhere in the top 10! I guess it's a good thing to leave it out so it does not become over crowded with dogs and owners. Never mind.
