My son just got a pit bull dog (5 months old) and someone stole it from his apartment a week after he got it for dog fighting. They stole him to use in dog fights as BAIT! When my son reported him stolen the sheriff told him that is what he was probably going to be used for. My son was devastated! Thankfully, a fellow at a gas station found him and was going to keep him until a friend of my son's told him he belonged to him. Oh, and just a side note: This poor pooch wash "hooked" under his neck & chin by whoever stole him for when they used him in dog fighting.

Roxi is right. Don't get me wrong, i adore dogs but pit bulls are down right dangerous. Most dogs it entirley depends on how they are trained, who their owners are etc but pit bulls can just turn for no reason and frequently do with horrific consequences. Infact they're illegal in the UK.

infact pit bulls are just like any pure bred dog, years of inbreeding and breeding to purpose has left inherant problems. just because i get a cavelier king charles doesn't mean it's going to have a skull too small for its brain, but if it did i wouldn't be surprised, or if i had a great dane and it had hip problems...i wouldn't be surprised but not every geat dane is going to have hip problems. Just like many pit bulls will be gorgeous dogs if a pit bull snaps you shouldn't be surprised. i personally wouldn't take the risk thats all
