Political Satire: Feline Style

Bookmark and Share | By | March 6, 2009 10:37 AM

With the precarious state of today's economy, in order to maintain our sanity and equilibrium we often resort to humor. So the other day, while I was surfing the "net" I was thoroughly delighted when I ran across a question which was posed by an office employee who was having a problem with a co-worker.

Apparently, her office mate, was emailing her several times a day with humorously captioned photographs of cats featured on that delightful website, ICANHAVECHEEZBURGER.com and she was asking for suggestions about how to tactfully stop it.

In answer to her question concerning her plight, one of the folks who responded, included in her answer, a link to one of the funniest and most delightful captioned photos I have yet seen.

I thought that the "author" of the caption really demonstrated talent as a political satirist. After all, we do have to keep a semblance of humor about the state of today's economy, don't you think?

So I invite you to enjoy a good belly laugh over this purrfectly "right on the money" parody, creatively submitted by jasmine.

A good laugh makes everyone's day a lot brighter, so do leave a comment with your point of view.

How *Totally* adorable. Just as adorable as the Tortie that has taken to visiting Mousey every night. She's very sweet and loveable, but I just can't take on another cat right now with my daughter/catsitter moving away. Breaks my heart...but I DO feed her against all the subdivision rules. =X

Is there anything more precious than the innocence and curiosity of a little kitten? This little guy is soooo sweet!
