Doggie Dance Lessons!
If you love dogs and dancing, and have ever partnered- up with your pooch in the privacy of your living room, performing a fox trot or line dance, you may be tuned-in by ESP about an activity in Tokyo which is growing by leaps and bounds.
In Japan, where the popular pet industry is worth close to $9.billion; where pet -friendly hotels, cat cafes and doggie day care are all the rage. It is a common sight to observe adoring human fur "parents" pushing their pets in baby carriages through the streets, dressed up to the "nines." So the addition of dance lessons for pets and their human partners provides just one more opportunity for a beloved pet in which to be properly pampered.

"Wan Nyan World" translated from the Japanese as "Woof Meow", is one of the schools in Tokyo where doggie dance lessons are held twice a month. The lessons provide an excellent opportunity for people and their dogs to trip the light fantastic while at the same time getting an enjoyable workout, moving with the music while enjoying the company of their favorite pet. Human participants report dramatic improvement in rapport with their dogs, which get "into" the dance sessions with apparent great delight.
People and dogs of all ages can participate in these dance classes, and as Fido learns finesse, increasing the "couples" comfort strutting their stuff, competition in dance contests may be a logical outgrowth.
"Dancing with the Stars", and "Dirty Dancing" are high on my entertainment hit parade. Make no bones about it; I am looking forward to the time I am able to turn on my television set to watch an exciting episode of "Doggie Dancing."

How cute! This looks like such fun. I wonder how long it takes them to teach the dogs to dance. Must take a lot of patience.

I have seen these wonderful pets and owners on TV and it is amazing to watch. It seems like the dogs really enjoy doing this. Their tails are wagging the entire time they are performing.

Canine's are so smart and eager to please...so unlike my favorite felines! One day after I'm semi-retired, I may find a nice puppy to keep my cats company! hehehe
Great video Jo!
