DR. LAUREN ON “PET PEEVES” RADIO!

With people out of work, or struggling to make ends meet, many are either downsizing to more economical housing, or losing their homes to foreclosure. And pets suffer, with many being left behind in yards or even closed into the abandoned house where they can starve before being discovered. Shelters have been overwhelmed with people dropping off their cats and d*gs in record numbers.

When people become frantic to find housing for themselves, they may wait until the last minute--if at all--to make accommodations for their animals. In many cases, they end up with few choices and must move to apartments that won’t accept pets.
