After a fire in my old apartment in which I lost most of my possessions and none of my pets were harmed, I devised an emergency evacuation plan with my pets in mind.

It's frustrating to have several cartons of unusable recalled kitty food which, of course, are actually the only brands our cats will eat, stashed in a corner of our living room.
