“…Hi, I'm Doctor Lauren at Petside.com. Ticks are something can be a nuisance to both you and your pet. They carry disease such as lyme disease that can make your pet's very ill. It's probably best to prevent ticks in the first place with a topical liquid that lasts about a month, or a tick collar, which lasts about 3 months. If your pet does get a tick, , I'm going to show you a safe way to remove it. It's a good idea to check your pet daily for ticks. . If you do find one, you're going to want to remove it carefully. What you should do is find the tick and then grab it as close as you can to your pets skin. Then you pull it out, so you make sure you've gotten all of the parts. Then you can just take the tick and safely dispose of it by flushing it down the toilet. So what you want to do is find the tick on your pet's skin, and get a pair of tweezer.
