What Should I Do About The Pus & Crust in my Kittens' Eyes?

Q: My cat had her kitten up in the loft of our garage. The kittens have pus coming out of their eyes and crust around them. What should I do? Will they become blind?

A: These kittens must be seen by a veterinarian immediately. This is extremely common in young cats and can be viral and/or bacterial in nature. Your veterinarian can give you a topical medication that is safe for the eyes. Without this, the eyes can become severely damaged. Good Luck!
