How Old Before Dog can be Spayed?
Q: How old does my Beagle need to be before she can be spayed? Is there a minimum age?
A: There isn't really a minimum age but there definitely is a maximum age. Most veterinarians recommend having dogs spayed at around six months of age. The goal is to have them before they go into heat. Every heat cycle that a dog has increases their chances of breast cancer. If your dog is spayed she will not go into heat!
