What's Causing My Cat To Drool Heavily?
Q: My cat has started drooling very badly. She was fine one minute and now she's drenching everything she sits on. She doesn't act sick and she's eating. What could the problem be?
A: There are a couple of reasons that your cat can be drooling. It is possible that it is as simple as she tasted something that she didn't like. When cats do this they can drool profusely. Anything new in your house that she may have been near like cleaners, soap in her food bowls, etc could have gotten near her mouth.
It is also possible that there is something wrong with her teeth or that there is something stuck in the mouth. If the drooling persists your cat should be examined by your veterinarian who can perform a complete physical and oral exam.

I recently brought home a kitty from the ARL. the next day, she was sneezing badly. I took her to the vet and found that she has an upper respatory infection. I came home today, to find my other two cats drooling like crazy and acting very ill. I took them in as well and was told the same thing. All three have now gotten antibiotics. The kitty msut have brought an infection home with her.

One of my cats has a severe drooling problem. There is a mass under her tongue that we are treating with antibiotics but the vet believes she may have cancer.
