Do You Have Any Tips On Caring for A Deaf and Blind Pet?
Q:strong> I have a miniature Dachshund she is blind and deaf. Do you have any tips on caring for her?
A:strong> Probably the most important thing for these pets would be keeping them safe. It is important to keep pets like yours away from stairs where she could fall and hurt herself. It is also a good idea to keep your pet confined, even to a crate, while you are not supervising her. This is to ensure her well being! If you are still taking her for walks, use a harness. This gives you more control of your pet and may make her feel safer. She should not be allowed outside without a leash since she cannot react to oncoming traffic or other dangers.

we moved from NJ to Georgia 2 yrs. ago. My Yorkie for the last 2 yrs recieved her anual shots from the same place. On my Yorkie's hip area where they give an injection she has lost hair there and it got larger this past year. They said it is a "common" reaction to the injection. It is the exact spot they give the shot.
My question is if she never had that probelm before coming to GA, why is it happening now the past 2 years. Tammy my Yorkie is 6 now. Is this true that it is a common reaction for dogs to lose hair like this from an injection. It went from a dime size to a 50Cent piece and looks awful! Do I take her somewhere else for this shot and see if an other place uses a different brand of injection? Please advise
