Can my Kitten Eat Dog Food?
Q: Is it okay that my kitten prefers my dogs' food to her own kitten food? I feed my dogs good food and they are healthy, but I also want her to be healthy.
A: Pets always want some one else's food! I do NOT recommend allowing your kitten to eat dog food as her main diet. Dogs and cats have very different nutritional needs and therefore their diets are not interchangeable. Try finding another kitten food that she will love!

No, it is not recommended for cats to eat dog food because there is a certain amino acid called taurine that is in feline formulas that are not in canine formulas because dogs are able to produce taurine on their own. Taurine is useful for good digestion of fats in the small intestines. So always try to feed your cat the correct type of food.

I have a 10 week old kitten, and i give it wet food, it seems to like that, occasionally. and it doesnt like the cat dry food. we have a 10 week old german shepard and it always eats his food, i try to feed it cat food but it wont

My kitten (about 6mths) eats her kitten food and then nibbles on our dogs food. If I put the dog food up, my dog won't eat when I put it down. Then kitten seems healthy except for horrible gas. What should I do??
