Can Dogs get Lice from Humans?
Q: Can dogs get lice from humans and visa versa?
A: No, because lice are species specific, meaning that dogs only can get dog lice, and people can only get people lice. If a human louse ends up on a dog it will not stay there. It will seek out another human in the vicinity!

We have never had lice until now or at least my mother has it. I saw them today and we went and bought treatment kits and sprays. I am relieved that this cannot be passed to our dogs and cat.
