The Welsh Terrier is a zippy little companion, always looking for action and entertainment. He loves to splash in the water and go for long country runs. Welsh Terriers are lovable buddies, and unlike some other terriers, are surprisingly well mannered with other dogs.
The Welsh Terrier fits the description of the early Welsh or Old English Wire Haired Black and Tan Terrier. The Welsh Terrier hunted otter and badger, and rode along in fox hunts to chase foxes out of their holes. His coat is always black and tan. His bushy facial hair should be combed twice a week.
