Löwchen

Fun Facts

In the 1700's a Löwchen called Bijou lived in Weilburg Castle in Germany on the Lahn River. When his master went on a hunt without him, Bijou jumped 60 feet out of the castle window in an attempt to follow his master. The ending of the story has turned into legend. One version is that Bijou survived the jump and was awarded a seat in his master's saddle. The other version ended in disaster. Regardless of the ending, Bijou became famous and a painting of him still hangs in the Weilburg Castle.
