The Snowshoe cat is a rare breed that originates from the US.

Snowshoes are a cross between the American Shorthair and the Siamese cat.

The Snowshoe is a medium to large sized cat; The large full-grown males can weigh 18 lbs, but usually range from 8 to 16 lbs.

They have bright blue eyes, a pointed coat, and white markings on their paws and legs, and, because their coats change with the seasons, they do not require a lot of grooming.

The Snowshoes are known for a loving and calm attitude, but they don’t like being left alone for long periods of time. They are also one of the smartest breeds of cats, being known to pick up tricks very easily, as well as one of the most curious.

They are often interested by water and sometimes seen swimming, but tend to prefer indoor playing. The Snowshoe is also known for being vocally opinionated, and likes to have his voice heard.

They are great with kids of all ages and make excellent family pets.
